Our members survey in 2016 showed NFAN members invested £20m in new attractions, facilities and services. The Farm attractions sector is continuing to develop. The NFAN Annual Conference and Trade Exhibition is your opportunity to showcase your products and services to this growing sector.

Last year’s event in Brighton was a sell-out with 60 exhibitors and 200 owners and senior managers from UK farm attractions attending. 2018 is set to be even bigger, with much more space available for the Trade Exhibition which will be in  Hall 1 at The International Centre. This is your chance to promote your products or services and secure new business.

The Venue – The International Centre, Telford.

The International Centre is a purpose built conference and exhibition venue. The Trade Exhibition will be Hall 1. There is plenty of room for the drinks reception, coffee breaks and lunch to be held among the trade stands. The room where the Awards Dinner and Conference are being held is just across the foyer. Refreshments and lunch will be served in the Trade Exhibition.

Timings for Trade Exhibition: The timings for 2018 will be the same as previous years. Set up on Wednesday 31st from 11am – 5pm. The Wednesday evening drinks reception from 6pm-8pm in the trade exhibition is popular with exhibitors and delegates. On Thursday morning the Trade Exhibition will open at 8.30am where coffee and pastries will be served. The first presentation is at 9.30am. There will be a 45 min mid-morning break and a two hour break for lunch, giving delegates time to visit the stands. There will be no afternoon tea break which means the Trade Exhibition will end at 2.50pm and exhibitors may start breaking down stands then. The conference presentations will end at 4.00pm.

Tuesday 30th January
12pm –  4pm (last tour at 3pm): Optional visit to The Hoo Farm, Telford (arrive at a time to suit you, approx 1 hour tour plus refreshments)
2pm – 5pm: Optional visit to The British Ironworks Centre, Owsestry (arrive at a time to suit you, refreshments served at 4pm, presentation from the owners at 4.30pm)
7.30pm: Informal Networking Dinner, The Lion Quays hotel, Oswestry

Wednesday 31st January
10am – 3pm: Open Day at Park Hall The Countryside Experience
11am – 5pm: Access to the Trade Exhibition to set up
6pm: Trade Exhibition opens for drinks reception
8pm: Annual Dinner & NFAN Awards

Thursday 1st February
8.30am – 9.30am: Trade Exhibition open (refreshments served)
9.30am – 10.50 Conference Session 1: Speakers tbc
10.50am – 11.40am approx: Tea/Coffee break served in the Trade Exhibition
11.40 – 12.50 Conference Session 2: Speakers tbc
12.50pm – 2.50pm approx: Lunch served in the Trade Exhibition
2.50pm: Trade Exhibition closes
2.50pm – 4.00pm Conference Session 3: Speakers tbc
4.00pm: Conference ends

Stands sizes simplified

We have found in previous years the smaller 1.5m x 2m stands were not as popular, with many exhibitors looking for larger stands. To simplify the layout we are now offering stands based on the starting unit of 2m x 2m. To keep trade stand prices low, we do not offer a shell scheme, only floor space.

Do you need power to your stand?

In previous years we have been able to provide access to power at no extra charge. This year the Exhibition Hall venue means that power has to be rigged for each stand. Anyone who has exhibited at other shows knows how expensive this can be. We have negotiated a special rate starting at just £50 to provide power to your stand. This is a one-off charge regardless of how big a stand you book. Please note power is provided during exhibition hours only, if you need 24hr power please speak to the NFAN office.

Tables are available to hire for a nominal £10 charge, please add this to your booking.

30% Discount for Members

All NFAN Members receive a 30% stand discount.  Prices for online booking already include the member discount so you can only book online if you are a NFAN member.  If you are a non-member please call the NFAN office on 01904 615059 or email to book. Please also contact us if you have any problems booking.

Larger stands are available by booking adjoining stands. If you wish to book more than one stand add the first stand to the Cart and then Continue Shopping to book another stand and any extras adding these to the Cart. You can then pay for all stands and extras together.

Extra Exhibitors

Each 2m x 2m stand space includes one member of staff. If you book two adjoining stands it includes two exhibitors. Exhibitor Passes include lunch and refreshments and access to the conference seminars on Thursday. If you would like to book extra colleagues please choose this option when booking your stand, cost is £45 per additional person + VAT. Please provide names for the Exhibitor Badges in the space provided. If you wish to add extra exhibitors after you have already booked your stand, select the No stand option and then add extra exhibitors to your cart.

Additional activities & dinner bookings

There are many networking events around the conference which exhibitors in the past have found to be very beneficial to attend. At the same time as you book your stand you can use the online booking form to book for the Annual Awards Dinner, Pre-conference Open Day and other options. If you have already booked a stand and wish to book additional activities only, you will need to select – No Stand – from the drop down list of stands. You can also book activities via the booking form, by telephone or via the Conference page when delegate bookings open later this month.

Free listing in the Conference Brochure

All exhibitors get a free listing in the Conference Brochure which is included in delegate welcome packs. Please email a description (up to 150 words) and a hi-res logo to Deadline 8th January 2018.

Loading & Unloading

Vehicle Access: Hall 1 has excellent level access from the car park. There is a large roller shutter door and two wide fire exit doors that lead onto the car park.

Parking: Parking is next to the Exhibition Hall or hotel and is free


Tuesday 30th Jan: There is a big event in Telford this night which unfortunately means limited hotel rooms available. As an alternative we have arranged the  informal networking dinner and rooms on Tuesday night at the Lion Quays Hotel in Oswestry which is conveniently located for the open day at Park Hall on Wednesday. Rooms are £85 single, £95 Double B&B. To book call the hotel on 01691 684 300  and quote NFAN. Rooms are subject to availability and must be booked by 20th December 2017. Book the informal dinner with NFAN.

Wednesday 31st Jan: There are two hotels which are part of the Telford International Centre, both are  just a 3-5min walk across the car park to the Conference and Trade Show. The Holiday Inn has a pool and spa, the rate includes full English breakfast, the NFAN rate is £95 single, £105 Double B&B. The International Hotel is a slightly more budget option with Continental breakfast and hot bacon roll included, the NFAN rate is £85 single, £95 Double B&B. On this rate the rooms can be cancelled up to 4pm day prior to arrival. Rooms are subject to availability and must be booked by 10th January 2018 to get these rates, however it is  possible you may find better rates elsewhere. To book either hotel Phone – 01952 527000 , Choose Option 1 for Reservations, quote ‘National Farm Attractions Network’

How to Book your Stand

Members – Take a look at the Exhibition Floorplan (link above) and choose your preferred stand(s). Click the Trade Stands 2018 Select Options link below. You will be able to select the stand number you want from the drop down menu. If the stand is already booked it will either not be listed or will show as SOLD OUT when selected. Select power, table, dinners and other networking events you wish to attend.
