NFAN, working with LANTRA, have been able to secure funding from DEFRA to run a pilot workshop focusing on health & safety and the application of the Industry Code of Practice.

Main topics covered:
• Do you want to improve management of health and safety?
• Learn how to apply the principles of compliance in your business?
• Would you like to improve your visitor experience?
• Would you like to meet or exceed the Industry Code of Practice?

The workshops led by Ray Hipkin a Chartered Safety Practitioner are for business owners, managers and those responsible for Health and Safety management and will look at Facility Layouts, Play Equipment and Controlling Animal Contact Areas.

Course Costs subsidised by DEFRA

The workshop is subsidised by funding from the Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE) and available at the subsidised rate to businesses meeting specific criteria as detailed below:

i) Your business must be micro or small to medium-sized – with less than 250 staff and
ii) It must have a designated rural postcode.

75% of NFAN members have appropriate postcodes, however we have kept the non-subsidised costs to a minimum to ensure all NFAN members can benefit. To check if you qualify for the subsided training please email your postcode to info@farmattractions.net
