Pitchup.com is a booking platform for over 2,000 UK campsites, including over 800 farms.

Over the last year sales have skyrocketed, with one farm in Cumbria achieving £50,000 and 600 bookings in its first week online.

Farmers in England and Wales have been given the green light to accept tents, without planning permission, for 56 days per calendar year at least until 31 December 2021. There are also relaxed planning regimes in Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Since the permitted development rules were extended in summer, over 300 temporary sites have joined Pitchup, taking an average of £13,000 each.
