Following a successful pilot course last year, NFAN is running two workshops in 2016 focusing on health & safety and the application of the Industry Code of Practice. Both courses are the same giving members a choice of venue.

Main topics covered:
• Do you want to improve management of health and safety?
• Learn how to apply the principles of compliance in your business?
• Would you like to improve your visitor experience?
• Would you like to meet or exceed the Industry Code of Practice?

The workshops led by Ray Hipkin a Chartered Safety Practitioner are for business owners, managers and those responsible for Health and Safety management and will look at Facility Layouts, Play Equipment and Controlling Animal Contact Areas.

The workshops are practical and tailored to the needs of farm attractions – share experiences on how we identify hazards and their causes as well as some of the tell-tale signs that tell us when we need to take action.

During the course, practical sessions will take place around the host Farm Park. You will share experiences on how we identify hazards, look at good practice and discuss how it is maintained, including different approaches you can take to meet and exceed the Industry Code of Practice.

You’ll leave with a whole range of ideas, hints and tips which you can put into practice straight away back at work.
