Regional Farmers are being offered the chance to turn mutton into profit by learning to make mutton pastrami and mutton ham.

Beechcliffe Farm - Staffs - £70 and include home cooked lunch.

Sausage making and Bacon Curing courses are also available on 17th March and 21st April 2008.

Certificate of Competence for Animal Transport

The Lantra Awards Certificate of Competence has two modules that cover the following species.

Module 1

Cattle, sheep, horses, pigs and goats

Module 2

Birds 

The test for each module will cost £32.25  and will be held at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire on the following dates:

• 19th March 2008 @ 11am and 2.30pm
• 9th April 2008 @ 11am & 2.30pm
• 25th April 2008 @ 11am & 2.30pm
