Winners of the 2006 Farm Attractions of the Year
Farmer Palmers Farm Park from Poole in Dorset clinched Category A, over 50,000 visitors per year. Judges remarked on the warm welcome, the unique marketing style and the quality and cleanliness of the attraction was first rate. The hard work and commitment used to turn this dairy farm into a first rate attraction in just 8 years is a testament to the desire and passion to deliver to their customers.
Farmer Palmers is a family-run and owned attraction, an ideal destination for families with children from 0-8 years old. The farm park offers a fantastic family day out, rain or shine at great value for money.

Farming World, Kent
The Big Sheep, Devon
Category B, 20,000 to 50,000 visitors per year was won by Pennywell Farm & Wildlife Centre from Buckfastleigh in South Devon. Pennywell clinched the through the high quality of visitor care, providing a wide range of entertainment and play equipment without getting too far away from the farming theme. There is obviously alot of passion and experience behind the team running the farm remarked the judges.
Pennywell Farm offers a busy family run day out with great attention to detail, welcoming staff, a tidy and safe place for children and even a new activity every 30 minutes remarked the judges.

Court Farm Country Park, Somerset
Brockholes Farm Visitor Centre, South Yorkshire
Hesketh Farm Park from Bolton Abbey in North Yorkshire scooped the award for Category C, under 20,000 visitors a year. Judges commented on the well laid out site, with easy access for disabled visitors. Hesketh Farm provides an excellent range of animals and activities both indoor and outdoor. With knowledgeable staff on hand to encourage children to interact and feed the animals.
Hesketh is very much a working farm, where the owners have succeeded in educating the visitors on farming issues, the importance of farming and food.
